We have a creative space dedicated to the development of innovation projects. In this space, we develop everything from initial prototypes to full-scale models, for the aesthetic, functional and/or ergonomic validation of products before mass production.
At SORMEN DESIGN, we don’t just have our offices, where we conceptualise, design, and develop the technical aspects of our projects. We also have specialised workshops dedicated to prototypes and models of all sizes. From prototypes of electronic devices to industrial doors and 1:1 scale model trains.
Mock-ups and Prototypes
When it comes to prototyping or creating mock-ups of a product, we have a range of resources, facilities and suppliers to suit each client and requirement, regardless of the product’s dimensions.
Others, in the final stages of industrialisation, require a high level of accuracy to verify the launch or production of moulds. Every requirement has a bespoke process, and at Sormen we offer a wide range of options, developed through years of experience and in partnership with trusted suppliers.
At SORMEN DESIGN, we bring all the components to our facilities, where specialist technicians with whom we have a long-standing relationship weld, assemble, and paint them, achieving final finishes of the highest precision. The interiors are constructed from wood and metal; we manufacture seats, details, panels, and more through reliable suppliers. We work on every last detail to produce a train as “real” as requested.
Driver’s cabs are an essential element, both for testing ergonomics, visibility, and technology, and for overall design approval. The level of detail and realism is fully customisable by our clients, taking into account their needs and the intended use of the models.
